September 2019 Update

Although we work to provide feeding programs, educative sponsorship, equipment, uniform, housing and counseling many of the challenges we face are long-term.

In September 2018, 3 children who would greatly benefit from such assistance were identified. We worked to set up sponsorship to send them to school in addition to receiving help via our feeding program.

They were provided with equipment, uniform and all the tools necessary to ensure they were ready to enter the education system.

Now in 2019, Sidney (pictured above, and below ) has seen such a transformation in his life since we first started working with him.

He is one of many who have befitted from your support. But it is important that while we celebrate these victories and the progress we make in our fight against poverty, we also share the challenges faced by many on a daily basis in Malawi.

Although we provide these children feeding programs, educative sponsorship, equipment, uniform, housing and counseling many of the challenges we face are long-term.

Stability and familiarity is paramount for these children who have often experienced abandonment and abuse whilst living on the streets in the past.

BUT THE STORY ISN'T ALWAYS POSITIVE...

One of the boys we work with named Gift, was seriously injured after being hit by a train, and was hospitalised with life threatening injuries. Fortunately he survived and continues to recover. But many are not so fortunate, and this is a sad reality for many vulnerable people in Malawi.

Breaking the cycle of poverty for the street children of Malawi is battle, to provide assistance in the form of educative and housing services to help improve the future prospects of these children.

As we continue working to better the lives of the children we work with, we want to say thank you! We can do none of this without you much needed support.

Most sincerely
